A titan of the global automotive industry is embarking on a major, multi-year transformation programme and is looking for a Lead Frontend Developer to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of its customer-facing digital platforms.

This role sits at the heart of a large-scale global rewrite of core finance systems, designed to transform how customers interact with the brand. The new platforms will allow customers to manage every stage of their financial journey — from discovering funding and credit options, through application, to ongoing account management.

Alongside this, you’ll help deliver and evolve a modern “Manage My Experience” portal, enabling customers to:

• Log in securely
• View car diagnostics and service requirements
• Receive real-time feedback from on-board vehicle technology
• Manage their relationship with the brand in one intuitive digital experience

As Lead Frontend Developer, you’ll set technical direction, drive best practices, and work closely with product, UX, and backend teams to deliver scalable, high-performance React applications used by customers globally.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead frontend development across complex, customer-facing platforms
• Own architecture and technical decisions for React-based applications
• Collaborate with product, UX, and engineering teams globally
• Mentor and support frontend engineers
• Champion performance, accessibility, and code quality standards

Skills & Experience Required

• Deep expertise in JavaScript (ideally TypeScript)
• Strong commercial experience with React.js
• Excellent knowledge of HTML & CSS
• Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Proven experience leading frontend initiatives or teams
