Nixor are proud to present an exciting opportunity that has arisen for a Lead / Principal Solution Architect to play a pivotal role in shaping the technology landscape of a growing digital organisation. This role provides technical leadership across enterprise platforms, digital portals, and product ecosystems, ensuring architectural consistency, scalability, and long-term value.

The successful candidate will act as a trusted authority on solution architecture, bridging business strategy and technology delivery while guiding teams, partners, and vendors toward high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide architectural leadership across multiple programmes, portals, and digital products.
  • Own and evolve solution architecture standards, patterns, and principles.
  • Ensure capacity and expertise to help with the consistent implementation design of portals and products across the organisation.
  • Partner closely with engineering, product, and delivery teams to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.
  • Embed with third-party product vendors to ensure architectural oversight, alignment with internal standards, and integration best practices.
  • Review and govern solution designs, ensuring security, performance, scalability, and resilience.
  • Influence senior stakeholders, providing clear architectural direction and decision-making support.
  • Mentor and develop architects and senior engineers, fostering a strong architectural community.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and platforms to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a Lead or Principal Solution Architect role within complex, enterprise-scale environments.
  • Strong background in designing and governing digital platforms, APIs, and cloud-based solutions.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors, SaaS platforms, and system integrators.
  • Excellent understanding of integration patterns, data architecture, and security principles.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on architectural guidance.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
